WHAT WE DO
Business Mentorship for Gym Owners
You already know how to run a gym. Revenue is decent, the schedule is mostly full, and you are the reason all of it holds together, which is the part nobody wants to say out loud. Scale School is the 1-on-1 mentorship inside our Elite package, built for owners who have hit a ceiling that working harder will not break.
More leads will not fix a plateaued gym
Most owners at a plateau reach for volume first. Run more ads, get more bodies through the door, and hope the math takes care of itself. Then the leads arrive and nothing underneath the gym changes, because traffic was never the constraint.
A gym with soft pricing, a thin onboarding process, and no clear path from trial to long-term member will leak most of what marketing sends it. You can double the top of the funnel and finish the quarter with about the same net member count and a much bigger ad bill.
That is why mentorship sits next to the ads instead of being sold separately. Marketing fills the gym. Mentorship fixes the business underneath it, so the leads land somewhere that can actually hold them.
Working in the business versus working on it
Working in the business is coaching the 6 AM, fixing the schedule, chasing an equipment repair, handling the member who wants to freeze. It is real work, and it feels productive because the day ends and things visibly got done.
Working on the business looks like nothing from the outside. It is deciding what your membership should cost, what happens in a member's first thirty days, which programs have earned their place on the calendar, and whether a second location is a real opportunity or a more expensive version of the same problem.
Owners do not skip that work on purpose. It gets pushed because nothing on the floor breaks when you skip it, at least not this week. A mentor's job is to make sure it stops getting pushed.
What a mentor who has run gyms sees that you cannot
You are inside your own operation every single day, which makes certain things invisible. Your pricing feels normal because you are the one who set it. Your schedule feels full, and it is, mostly with you.
Someone who has run gyms reads the same numbers differently. They will ask what your average member is worth across a full year, and what happens to revenue in the two weeks you are not on the floor. Neither question is comfortable, and the answers usually explain the plateau.
Our mentors are experienced business coaches who have already worked through the operating problems sitting on your desk right now. They are not handing you a template. They look at your specific gym and tell you what they would fix first, in what order, and why.
Pricing and revenue structure is where the money hides
Plateaued gyms are rarely underpriced by a few dollars. They are structured in a way that caps what the business can earn no matter how many people walk in the door.
The common version: one flat membership rate, quiet discounts handed out to keep people from canceling, nothing above that rate for members who want more, and personal training priced by feel instead of by margin. Headcount grows and the profit line barely moves.
Mentorship works on that structure directly. What you charge, what sits above and below it, how cash moves through a month, and which parts of your revenue are predictable versus dependent on you closing something new every week.
Retention is the quiet profit lever
New members are the expensive way to grow. Keeping the ones already paying you is the cheap way, and it almost never gets an hour on an owner's calendar.
Retention comes from things you can point to. A first-week experience you could describe to a new coach without thinking about it, and a check-in that happens whether or not you personally remember. In most gyms those pieces live in one person's head, which means they happen when that person is not busy.
Mentorship pulls that out of your head and turns it into something the gym runs on its own. A member base that stops draining while the ads are working is what makes growth compound instead of resetting every quarter.
What the weekly cadence looks like
You meet with your mentor every week. Not a group call with a hundred people typing in the chat, and not a course library you log into twice and abandon.
Each call works on what is in front of you that week. A price increase you have been avoiding, a staffing decision, cash flow heading into a slow month, the real numbers behind an expansion you have been daydreaming about. You leave with a short list, and the next call opens with whether you did it.
Weekly matters because monthly lets problems age. A pricing mistake caught in seven days costs you a week. The same mistake caught at the end of a quarter costs you a quarter.
Who this is built for
Scale School is included in the Elite package, for owners who want the marketing and the business work handled together instead of hiring two vendors who never talk to each other. We are based in North Carolina, in Raleigh and Charlotte, and we work with gym owners across more than 22 states.
Both founders work on every account, which is also why the roster is capped at 50 clients. Past that number this turns into account management, and account management has never fixed anyone's plateau.
If the gym is running on your effort alone and the numbers have gone flat, the fastest move available is getting someone experienced to look at it with you. Book a call and we will tell you what we would fix first.
